Dark Circles Under Eyes – Home Remedies

Dark circles are skin problems that affect people’s look. The causes can vary from heredity and sun exposure to fatigue, lack of sleep, pregnancy or different diseases.  No matter the cause, they exist and are very uncomfortable. Lemon juice. Blend in some lemon juice with turmeric paste, orange lentil flour and puree of tomato and apply the resulting paste to your eyes. Leave it sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse with water.

You can also mix equal parts of lemon juice with cucumber juice and apply the solution on your skin. Wait for about 15 minutes before washing it off. Repeat the remedy every day for a week.

Cucumber. Grate one cucumber and soak 2 cotton balls in the juice. Apply them on your eyes, covering the dark circles and leave them sit for several minutes. You can also use potatoes instead of cucumbers.

Water. Drink at least 15 glasses of water in order to hydrate your skin.

Rose water. Soak two cotton balls in rose water and apply them to your eye, leaving them sit for several minutes.

Yoga/ meditation. Relax your body and mind by practicing some yoga exercises and let your body purify itself.

Sleep. The rest can be the key to reduce dark circles, therefore you should sleep at least 7 hours every night.

Mint. Combine some tomato juice with mint leaf paste and apply the mixture on the affected area.

Cream. Apply some cream on your dark circles and let it sit for a longer period of time. You will be surprised!

Tea bags. Remove your dark circles by applying cold tea bags on them.

Almond oil is a good remedy for dark circles. Pour several drops on the affected area and massage gently around it. Leave it sit overnight. Follow this procedure every day until the dark circles are gone.

Sweets and chocolate can be a cause of dark circles, therefore we recommend you to stay away from these foods as much as possible.

Apply on your dark circles foods rich in vitamin C and iron, such as chicken or pepper or apply some cream that contains vitamin C and E.

Adopt a healthy lifestyle and quit all those bad habits – smoking, drinking and consuming processed food – and replace them with fresh fruits or juices that bring your body and skin all the necessary nutrients. In addition, try to replace the chemical based products with natural ones, in order to protect your skin.
